Wiener Städtische Half Marathon at the VCM Joins New Series
Vienna will be part of SuperHalfs Europa, the new international half-marathon series, with the Wiener Städtische Half Marathon taking place on 18 April 2027.
SuperHalfs Europa brings together six outstanding half marathons in six cities and countries:
Napoli in Italy, Warsaw in Poland, Belgrade in Serbia, Vienna in Austria, Riga in Latvia and Stockholm in Sweden.
Runners who complete all six half marathons will receive a special SuperHalfs medal as recognition of their achievement and a lasting souvenir of their journey.
“We are delighted that the Wiener Städtische Half Marathon is part of this new running journey across Europe. With this, we are offering runners an exciting European challenge over the half-marathon distance as part of the Vienna City Marathon weekend, complementing the marathon, which is already part of the European Marathon Classics,” says Kathrin Widu, CEO of VCM Group.
“SuperHalfs Europa provides a new incentive to participate and creates shared experiences for runners. At the same time, this next step in our development is a commitment to maintaining and further enhancing the quality of the event for our participants,” emphasizes Dominik Konrad, CEO of VCM Group.
