Experience the unique Vienna City Marathon atmosphere on shorter distances on Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
Vienna 5K: A Scenic Lap on the Ringstraße, Supporting WWF
Run, jog, walk, use a wheelchair or push a stroller – everyone is welcome, at any pace and of any age. The 5K event on Saturday, 17 April 2027 is open to anyone who can complete the course within one hour. Austria's elite runners will line up alongside beginners, children, families and seniors.
The race starts at 6:15 p.m. in front of the University of Vienna. After completing the scenic lap around the Ringstraße, you'll celebrate your achievement at the finish line in front of the Burgtheater.
An amount of 5 euros per adult participant at the non-reduced entry fee goes to WWF Austria for the protection of natural forests in the March-Thaya floodplains. From a nature conservation perspective, these are among the most significant river landscapes in Austria. They form the largest unbroken river landscape in Central Europe and are a hotspot of biodiversity.

Tchibo Coffee Run 10K
The inaugural Tchibo Coffee Run 10K at VCM 2026 was a great success, and we're excited to welcome you to the second edition.
Experience the iconic start on the Reichsbrücke, run 10 kilometres on Sunday morning, and enjoy a fresh cup of Tchibo coffee at the VCM finish area.
The race starts at 8:00 a.m., one hour before the marathon runners set off, following part of the official VCM course. Like all other events, the finish line is located on the Ringstraße in front of the Burgtheater.
Set Yourself a Goal and Get Inspired!
Registration for the Marathon, the Wiener Städtische Half Marathon, and the Powerade Relay Marathon remains open for the time being.
Interest is extremely high, so don't wait too long to secure your place.
Registration for the VCM Children's Runs and the Coca-Cola Inclusion Run is currently being prepared. Information on ticket sales and applications for the Concert for the Marathon with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra will also be announced soon.
