Three runs on the Prater Hauptallee: preparation, fun, community – and you're right in the middle of it!
Join the VCM Winter Runs in December, January and March. This will boost your fitness level and increase your anticipation for the Vienna City Marathon. Look forward to motivating running vibes and the Vienna running community!
We will be running on three dates in the magnificent Prater Hauptallee:
Christmas Magic – 14 December 2025
• 1 mile, 5 km, 10 km

• 1 mile, 5 km, 10 km, 15 km, half marathon
Vienna Calling! 8 March 2026
• Vienna Calling Half Marathon (starting at the Reichsbrücke)
• 1 mile, 5 km, 10 km

We will be using the Rugby Union Donau Wien grounds as our home base.
Changing rooms, toilets, medals, refreshments at the finish line, award ceremony and a great atmosphere before and after the race: everything in one place!
We are giving away 100 free entries per date to everyone who has already registered for the marathon or Wiener Städtische half marathon of the VCM 2026 and is participating in a VCM winter run. The winners will have their winter run entry fee refunded.
Members of the City of Vienna Benefits Club receive a 20% discount on the entry fee (adult rate). The discount cannot be applied retroactively to existing registrations.
All events of the VCM Winter Running Series are officially AIMS-measured and part of the World Athletics Global Calendar.
