adidas Runners Vienna Night Mile

Running community celebrated at Vienna's sportiest and healthiest Saturday night party

Running energy, mile power, finisher cheers in the rain: the adidas Runners Vienna Night Mile thrilled the running community on Saturday, 30 August.

Vienna's sportiest and healthiest Saturday night party got 620 registered runners on their feet.

The winners of the third edition of the event were Davide Zanetti in 4:17.2 minutes and Petra Gumpinger in 4:59.5 minutes. Raphael Rakut (4:23.6) and Leon Kohn (4:24.1) as well as Katharina Kiesenhofer (5:04.1) and Monika Kubai (5:07.2) took second and third place.

The race started at 8:30 p.m. in the Kaiserstraße area at the upper end of the famous shopping street Mariahilfer Straße. The finish line was located after a distance of 1.61 kilometres* in front of the Museumsquartier. Here, everyone was greeted with a party atmosphere, entertainment, a DJ and fans.

Rainy weather? Just a side note. Young and old alike ran, danced and celebrated regardless. The mile distance offers great opportunities for all running enthusiasts.
