Big rush for VCM events: Two months until the event
There are still 200 starting places available for the Wiener Städtische Half Marathon at the VCM. The regular online registration for this event will close as soon as this quota has been used up.
Enthusiasm for running is high and it is clear that many people are once again making their plans much earlier and more long-term than in previous years. The VCM field is therefore already very large with almost 30,000 registrations in all competitions a good two months before the event.
There are currently (Monday, 19 February, 14:00) still places available:
- 800 starting places for the marathon
- 200 starting places for the Wiener Städtische Half Marathon
- 500 teams for the Powerade relay marathon

We are working on the possibility of a waiting list after registration for individual events closes.
Companies with group registration can continue to register participants until the agreed registration deadline.
The total quota of 35,000 registrations for the Sunday competitions remains unchanged compared to 2023 in order to ensure a high event quality and a great experience for all participants.
We determined this number at the start of registration and also communicated it to the authorities as a basis for planning. Due to construction site-related bottlenecks on the running route and restrictions in the wider finish area due to the underground construction, the number of participants cannot be increased at will.
Starting places for the Saturday events are still available: Vienna 5K, The Daily Mile 800 & 1600, Coca-Cola Inclusion Run.
Registration is also still open for the 3rd VCM Winter Run with the "Vienna Calling Half Marathon" on 10 March.

Bonus for the Vienna 5K: Members of the City of the "Vorteilsclub der Stadt Wien" (Vienna Benefits Club) receive a 20 per cent discount on registration, valid for adults on the full price of the Vienna 5K. The discount cannot be redeemed retroactively for existing registrations.
