VCM preparation runs

Here you can find the information about the VCM preparation runs 2023/24:We want you to come to the 41st Vienna City Marathon on 21 April 2024 well prepared and in the best of spirits. On the way there, taking part in a running event is great motivation and a great boost for your form.
Bonus for VCM runners
 

For all those who are already registered for the marathon or Wiener Städtische half marathon of the 41st VCM, we are therefore offering a preparation boost.  

You have the opportunity to participate free of charge in one (1) of the VCM preparation runs in Salzburg, Vienna, Upper Austria and Styria or in one (1) competition of the VCM Winter Running Series in Vienna, as long as starting places are available.

Participation
 

For the opportunity to participate for free, write to office@vienna-marathon.com and let us know that you want to start at one (1) specific run. The requirement is that you are already registered for the Marathon or Wiener Städtische Half Marathon of the 41st VCM.

The free entries are allocated in the order emails are received, until the contingents are exhausted. Please allow a few days for the receipt of your registration code.

The VCM preparation runs are part of Erste Bank Sparkasse Running.

ALOHA WINTER RUNNING SERIES LINZ

The ALOHA winter running series in Linz keeps you fit over the winter months. The start is directly at Lentos. You will run along the Donaulände past sights such as the Linz Brucknerhaus and along the Kulturmeile.

Starting on the Reichsbrücke, experience the record-breaking course like at the start of the Vienna City Marathon and like Eliud Kipchoge's INEOS 1:59 Challenge.

The Sparkasse OÖ Linz24 Danube Trail is a spring outdoor event without a competitive character. Discover the most attractive trails and spots of the capital of Upper Austria. Along the way, you will get to know Linz from its most beautiful sides. Start & finish are located on Landstraße.

VOLCANO COUNTRY SPRING RUN

The Vulkanlandlauf in Leitersdorf in the Raabtal valley in the Styrian Thermen-&-Vulkanland offers a colourful range of competitions from children's runs to 4.2 km hobby runs and 8.4 km fun runs to half marathons. The "Styrian Running Opening" is an atmospheric running competition with timekeeping for runners and walkers.

WIEN RUNDUMADUM

Take part in the adventure run on the beautiful "Wien Rundumadum" hiking trail. We have starting places for the new beginners' distance of 17 km. You will be out and about on the Bisamberg with a rucksack and head torch.

We offer the opportunity to participate in one (1) run for free. If you have already redeemed your free entry for one of the runs listed above, there is no further discount.

If the reserved places have already been used up, if legal participation restrictions are in force or if runs have to be cancelled, there will be no refund. No payment of the entry fee or offsetting with the VCM registration.
