A music-filled running event to mark the 200th birthday of the Waltz King
The Vienna City Marathon is celebrating the 200th birthday of the Waltz King together with Johann Strauss 2025 Wien.
That's why we are launching an exclusive category: The Johann Strauss ranking. Among the marathon runners of VCM, 200 'Johann Strausses' will compete in a specially designed Strauss jersey and celebrate the jubilarian.
Exceptional prizes await the fastest finishers in this category, including a refund of the entry fee, tickets for Johann Strauss 2025 Wien and exclusive special offers centred around Johann Strauss and Vienna as a city of music.

- Application only for already registered participants of the VCM 2025 in the marathon (42.195 km) until 26 November
- The number of Johann Strauss runners is limited to 200.

You will receive your Johann Strauss jersey at the race number distribution point (Vienna Sports World, Marx Halle, 1030 Vienna). Make sure that it is clearly visible at all times during the run. Ideally, you should wear black running trousers.
