Here comes motivation for you and a boost for children's health. From 17 April to 15 May 2021, we are holding the VCM Run into Spring. Run, walk and move wherever you are. With your family, friends or on your own. Get out into nature and get moving.
The form is available in German only for the time being.
Choose a distance from 2.1 to 21.1 kilometres or run a half marathon in ten stages. Record your run e.g. with a sports watch or an app.
The participation fee of 5 euros for a distance of your choice goes 100 % to The Daily Mile Austria. This is how we get children running every day. 60 primary schools all over Austria are already participating - and many more are to come.

Run a half marathon in ten stages: With the Half Marathon Challenge, we especially invite parents with their children to be active and do something together as a family. 10 x 2.1 km in four weeks: That adds up to a half marathon.
Anyone who manages this challenge can be really proud! Of course, you will also receive the "VCM Run into Spring" (VCM Lauf-Frühling) medal.
This is how you participate:
Register for the VCM Run into Spring and choose one of the distances listed. Run, walk or hike wherever you are. Record your activity with a GPS sports watch or a running app. Enter your time and upload a screenshot or photo as proof from 17 April until 15 May, midnight, at the latest.
For each registration, you can upload one run with a distance of your choice or participate once in the Half Marathon Challenge.
The results will be updated online on a daily basis. We will send out the medals after the end of the VCM Run into Spring.
Always follow the Covid-19 rules that apply at the location of your run. Adhere to the legal requirements, e.g. the road traffic regulations, on your running course. This is not an in person event. You undertake your sporting activity individually and on your own responsibility.
100% of the entry fee goes to The Daily Mile Austria.. The Daily Mile is a running and exercise initiative for primary schools and kindergartens. Teachers take the children outdoors for fifteen minutes a day to run. It's easy, free and has a great effect. The children become fitter, more concentrated and have a lot of fun. 60 schools all over Austria are already participating. We want there to be many more.
We use the entry fees from the VCM Run Spring for welcome boxes to the schools, information material and school visits to get even more children and teaching staff to join in. Find out more at www.thedailymile.at. For an English version look at www.thedailymile.co.uk.
