The Vienna 5K is the ideal competition for those who want to run through Vienna on Saturday and experience the final part of the marathon course with the finish area in front of the Burgtheater.

The race is open for all runners of all ages for the first time, but we are still looking forward to many young participants.

Important Information

YOUNG-UNG RUN

YOUNG-UNG RUN will take place for the first time as part of Vienna 5K. The participants of the YOUNG-UNG RUN start in their own starting block and run with their or a borrowed combat suit (Dobok).
Further information about the YOUNG-UNG RUN and the rental of the rental combat suits (Doboks) can be obtained directly from YOUNG-UNG Taekwondo. In the YOUNG-UNG RUN, running in a combat suit is mandatory. Beim YOUNG-UNG RUN ist das Laufen mit dem Kampfanzug verpflichtend.

Am 18. April 2020 veranstalten wir den Coca-Cola Inclusion Run, der auch 2020 wieder ganz im Zeichen der Special Olympics Bewegung steht.

Der Coca-Cola Inclusion Run ist eine Charity Veranstaltung, bei der Spenden* für die Special Olympics Bewegung gesammelt werden.

Teilnahmegebühr € 9,- für jeden Teilnehmer*

*Teilnehmer mit einem Handicap dürfen begleitet werden. Begleitende Personen gelten als Teilnehmer und müssen ebenfalls deutlich sichtbar eine Startnummer auf der Brust tragen.

Von der Teilnahmegebühr in der Höhe von € 9,- werden € 5,- direkt an Special Olympics gespendet. Coca-Cola verdoppelt diesen Spendenbetrag und die Österreichischen Lotterien verdreifachen. Der verbleibende Anteil von € 4,- wird abzüglich der gesetzlichen Mehrwertsteuer als Beitrag für die Abdeckung der Organisationskosten der Veranstaltung verwendet.

Der/die TeilnehmerIn muss in der Lage sein, das Ziel spätestens 20 Minuten nach dem Start zu erreichen (16.50 Uhr). Die Teilnahme mit Rollstühlen oder Handbikes ist erlaubt. Die Teilnahme mit Rennrollstühlen oder anderen Fortbewegungsmitteln wir Fahrrädern, Skateboards, Rollschuhen, Inlineskates etc. ist nicht erlaubt.

This course is part of the INEOS 1:59 Challenge with Eliud Kipchoge and also part of the Vienna City Marathon.

Choose your distance

There is a separate scoring for each competition. If you run 5km (= 1 lap), you will be scored in the 5km competition. If you run 10km (= 2 laps), you will be scored in the 10km competition. If you run 15km (= 3 laps), you will be scored in the 15km competition. If you run 21,0975km (= 3 laps + extended fourth lap), you will be scored in the half marathon competition. If you run 25 km (= 5 laps), you will be scored in the 25kmcompetition (25km is only possible in March during the 4th winter running series).

You do not need to decide which distance you want to run before the race. You can decide also during the race.

Free start for VCM participants
For the first time, we offer free starts at the VCM Winter Running Series to runners, who have registered for the marathon or half marathon at VCM on 19 April 2020. Number of entries will be limited with 2,000 runners for each event. To enter the VCM Winter Running Series for free you will receive your registration information personally be e-mail. Registration must be made before the respective registration deadline. Late entries, if available, are only possible at the current late entry fee.

We ask you to register only if you really intend to start. This is important for planning and implementing the competitions and ensuring all necessary resources.

ÖAMTC, Schubertring 1-3, 1010 Vienna on Friday from 12:00 to 18:00 before each running series and on site at the competition day from 08:00 to 09:30! Late entry as long as starting places are available.

Official timing

The race times of each winter running series race is recorded using RFID-Tag from Race Result. The RFID-Tag is attached to the bib number and must NOT be removed. Time keeping chips from other companies can NOT be processed. There is no timing without bib number!
