48ers Cleaned the City in Record Time
The 48ers keep the city's streets clean – day after day, and during the VCM even at record speed.
Around 160 employees ensured that Vienna looked just as it did before the marathon immediately after the race ended – from the Vienna International Centre (UNO-City) all the way to Rathausplatz.
55 vehicles were deployed and 550 collection containers were available for residual waste and recyclables. Pre-cleaning already began at 6 a.m. By 8 p.m., the last cleaning work at the finish line on the Ringstraße and Rathausplatz had been completed.
